60 DEGREES, IT'S A PRETTY GOOD LIFE
60 Degrees, It’s a Pretty Good Life, documents the life of a close friend who, after a divorce, decided to live in a shipping container off the grid in the New Hampshire wilderness. He exemplifies a desire that many of us have: to escape the world of routine and comfort, to be willing to accept any fate for a chance at a self-made freedom.
Sean and I were back from a bar. I was huddled up in a sleeping bag. It was a few days from Christmas and the fire was long out. He rebuilt it and the heat quickly overcame the drafts. Before turning out the light, he looked at the termostat and said, "60 degrees, it’s a pretty good life."
